Mold Removal
Mold Removal in North Austin
Mold in your home is stressful, and it rarely goes away on its own. Twin Pillars Restoration provides mold removal in North Austin and the surrounding Austin area. We are TDLR licensed for mold remediation (License RCO1777), insured, and IICRC certified.

When mold removal is needed
Mold usually shows up where moisture has been sitting: bathrooms, attic spaces, around air handlers, and behind walls after a leak. Signs include a musty smell, discoloration on walls or ceilings, peeling paint, and warped trim.
Texas requires a licensed remediator once mold covers 25 contiguous square feet. Smaller areas may be manageable for a homeowner, but the moisture source still has to be fixed or the mold comes back.
How our mold removal works
Define the work area
We set the boundaries of the area that needs work.
Contain it
We seal the work area with polyethylene barriers and use HEPA-filtered air machines so spores do not spread to the rest of your home.
Remove contaminated material
Affected drywall, insulation, and other porous materials are removed and bagged. Framing and hard surfaces that stay are cleaned.
Clean and dry
HEPA vacuuming and damp wiping, then drying until the area reads dry.
Rebuild
The same team can return the insulation, drywall, paint, and trim.
Mold removal and mold remediation: what is the difference?
People use both terms. In practice, mold removal means taking out the contaminated material and cleaning the area. Mold remediation is the full process, including containment, cleaning, drying, and fixing the moisture problem behind the growth. You can read more on our mold remediation page.

THE WORD ON OUR WORK
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY.
Mold raises questions about health, cost of delay, and whether the problem is really solved. These answers cover how remediation works, what Texas requires, and how results are verified.
Do you provide mold removal in North Austin?
Yes. Twin Pillars Restoration provides mold removal and mold remediation in North Austin and the surrounding Austin area.
Can mold come back after removal?
Only if the moisture comes back. That is why fixing the leak, condensation, or drainage problem matters as much as removing the mold.
Do I have to leave my home during mold removal?
Usually not. Containment keeps the work area separate from the rest of the home. People with respiratory sensitivity or large projects may prefer to stay elsewhere.
How long does mold removal take?
It depends on the size of the area and the drying time. A small contained area can take a few days. Larger jobs take longer.
